Thank you for your interest in OYO’s rec travel program.   This is the official page for the 2012 10U Blue Bombers Rec Travel team.   We will provide the latest updates, schedules, and related information via this page.

Tryouts

Thank you to all the 10U players who participated in our tryouts over the past two weekends.  We are proud of how all the boys performed.  Due to the tremendous turnout, OYO will offer two rec travel teams in 2012.  The teams will be called 10U Blue and 10U Red.  Final rosters are provided below.

The 2012 Bombers rec travel team will offer a mixture of practices, Sunday Showcase games, and tournaments.  Download the 10U Blue Bombers RT Bomber updated schedule for a better understanding of how the schedule works around the rec league schedule.

Budget and Fees

Rec Travel Teams are self-funded teams at OYO.  While field space is provided at no cost and there are no fees to participate in OYO Tournaments, all other expenses must be offset by team registration fees and/or fundraising.   Download the 10U Blue Bombers RT Budget and Fees Overview for more information.

In 2012, there will be two fees as well as a fundraising commitment for each player.  These fees are based on a full uniform purchase.  If team votes for a simpler uniform option, fees will be reduced accordingly.

  • $200 - Returning players who do not need to purchase a new red practice jersey, helmet or bat bag
  • $260New players to offset expenses of team-specific red practice jersey, helmet and bat bag
  • $150  – Fundraising responsibility for each player (via sponsorships or Mike’s Car Wash certificate/Stanley raffle ticket sales)

The $200/$260 player registration fee will be due by Saturday, April 7, 2012.   A player’s registration fee must be paid in full to participate in games.
