Full Time Travel Softball

The Oaklandon Red Storm offers competitive travel softball teams for ages 7 thru 18 years old. The Red Storm program is divided into two leagues – Full-time Travel (FTT) and Recreational Travel (RT).   More info about Rec Travel can be found at link.

FTT Red Storm teams play games and tournaments only against other designated full-time travel teams. Since FTT players do not participate in the recreational league, the FTT team’s season typically runs from January through July.  FTT Red Storm teams travel throughout Indiana, and it is possible they will play in select tournaments out of state.  Eligible players on the team for each age group must be of that age by January 1, 2013.

OYO FTT travel team tryouts occur in the Fall, usually September.  Coaches must apply annually and are selected every season by the OYO Executive Board.  Any excess fees collected or funds raised by the team during the season shall remain with the team for the following season.

Selections for all FTT Red Storm teams are by a tryout/evaluation process and participation on this final day of tryouts is strongly recommended.  2013 Full-Time Travel Tryout Schedule (Based on player’s age as of January 1, 2013):

  • 16U – Field 9 – Saturday, September 8th starting at 3 p.m.
