Softball Rec Tournament
The Oaklandon Youth Organization culminates each of its recreational seasons with an in-house tournament. During the rec seasons, teams are encouraged to be more focused on helping teams and players improve and develop better softball skills. The tournaments are designed to be fun-filled, challenging opportunities for teams to experience a more competitive environment where wins and losses count. That said, all coaches, players and fans should continue to provide a supportive, positive environment for everyone involved.
As we have mentioned before, especially during the tournament, coaches coach, players play, umpires umpire, and fans cheer (positively). We look forward to a fun, memorable tournament season.
Spring Season Tournament
The Spring Rec Season Tournament is a double-elimination tournament. All games will be played between Monday, June 11 thru Thursday, June 21 (but may need to be extended due to inclement weather, such as a rare Indiana rain shower). The official 2012 Spring Tournament brackets for each softball league — with all results thru Thursday, June 12 — are posted below.
Fall Season Tournament
The Fall Rec Season Tournament is a one-day, single-elimination tournament. A public drawing will be held on Sunday, September 23, final brackets with game times will be posted on September 30, and tournament Sunday is on Sunday, October 14.
