14U Softball

The OYO 14U softball programs allows teams 14-16 games during the summer following ASA rules. The games are played within an alliance with teams from Warren and Hancock County. Some travel is involved as games can be scheduled in Greenfield, Warren and New Palestine. Uniforms and helmets will be supplied to players. While most parks adhere to pitching distances set at 40 feet, some parks use 43-foot pitching distances. Most games are doubleheaders on weekends and evenings. The alliance does include a double-elimination tournament at the end of June. Practices start in mid- to late April. Games begin at the end of May when girls are released from high school teams, if applicable.
