Second mandatory rules clinic to be April 11

Are you interested in becoming an umpire for OYO? We are hiring! Anyone age 11 (as of April 30, 2010 ) and older may apply, be trained, and have a great part-time job! As part of the process, you must fill out an umpire application, take the exam and attend two mandatory clinics (one of which was conducted March 7). 

Key dates for umpires:

  • Instructional clinic open to all umpires will be 2-5 p.m. March 21 on Field 10 (contact Kevin Jobe at 538-8430 for more info). This clinic is separate from the two mandatory rules clinics.
  • Deadline to complete and submit exam: March 28
  • Umpire Mechanics Clinic:  Sunday, April 11 time TBA at OYO

All umpires must have access to an email account and the internet. All communication is done via email and all game scheduling is done on the internet. All umpires must submit the application and take the exam, regardless of past experience. For more information, contact Kristin Curts at curts74@comcast.net .

Important Note: The quiz site only allows you to take the quiz in one session so it is recommended you print a copy of the quiz you are going to take, determine your answers, and then log in to the quiz site to provide your answers. The online quizzes have been updated so the questions will be in the same order as your quiz. If you need to have your quiz reset, please contact Brian Fedje at 317-372-1240 or by email and he'll reset your quiz as soon as possible.
